Which medical specialty induces the most stress?
HMA clients would probably have some minor arguments regarding which medical/surgical specialty induces the most stress. People would agree, however, that given the inhouse hours and other requirements, Emergency Medicine would certainly be among those considered to be on the top of the list. Although this article on “Wellness” is written by members of the American College for Emergency Physicians, the message is applicable for all physicians.
